The Hiding Place is a domestic violence program that will be providing emergency housing, counseling, and resourcing support for women survivors of domestic violence and their children. We are eager to begin serving survivors of domestic violence starting in February of 2023. The need is so great in our county and with no active program in place to help these survivors, we fear that many are being left without hope. On average 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence and when you look at the statistics specifically for Pickens County, the number is terrifying. As we approach February 1st, we are actively looking for partnerships with community members and organizations to help us as we work towards meeting our budget goal for the first year of operation. All donations will be going towards providing safety for the domestic violence survivors we serve.
